The Menatone King of the Britains is an overdrive and distortion pedal designed to capture the sound of classic 1980s British plexi guitar amplifiers. It is based on a 1968 Plexi circuit, the last of the plexi panels, with a tighter low end but without the harshness of later metal panel amps. The pedal features a voice switch that mimics the different responses of the two channels of those amps, offering three voice options. The King of the Britains is an all-analog circuit pedal with true bypass switching and an external power supply jack. It also includes an ultra-bright LED, easy access battery, and uses silver-plated, Teflon-coated wire. The pedal's dimensions are 4"x4.5"x1.5".
