Sugar Drive Guitar Pedal By MXR

Description

The MXR Sugar Drive pedal is designed to provide a diverse range of clear and transparent overdrive tones, from sauced up boosting to blown-tube distortion. It is based on a rare and elusive circuit, incorporating unique features to enhance its functionality.

Key Features:
- Drive Control: The pedal's Drive control doesn't just increase the intensity of the overdrive pedal. It starts with the clean signal and then blends it with the overdrive effect as it is turned up, replicating the smooth transition of an amplifier going from clean to dirty.
- Voltage Doubler: The voltage doubler increases overall headroom, opening up the sound nicely.
- True Bypass and Buffered Bypass: The pedal offers true bypass by default, but it also features a Buffer switch on the side of the pedal to enable buffered bypassing for players who prefer this option.

Specifications:
- Input Impedance: 600 kΩ
- Output Impedance: 3 kΩ
- Nominal Input Level: +6 dBV
- Maximum Output Level (True Bypass without Buffer selected): +26 dBV
- Tone Control (@ full CCW): -20 dB @ 3 kHz
- Current Draw: 18.5 mA @ 9 VDC
- Power Requirements: 9 VDC (ECB003 AC adapter)
- Throughput Gain: Up to +50 dB @ 1kHz

The MXR Sugar Drive pedal is powered by the Dunlop ECB003 9-volt adapter or an MXR Brick Series power supply (each sold separately) and cannot be powered by a battery.
