The Space Rip by Pigtronix is an analog synth pedal featuring pulse width modulated (PWM) sawtooth and square wave voices in multiple octaves. It incorporates a state-of-the-art tracking engine that enables it to keep up with fast single note lines, replicating both pitch and dynamics. The pedal's pulse width of the square and sawtooth waveforms is kept in a state of flux, generating constant harmonic motion controlled by the Rate knob. Additionally, the Sub knob adds an extra voice one octave down from the input signal, while the Octave switch drops the entire synth down an additional octave, producing a substantial amount of pure analog synth bass.
The Space Rip offers the following technical specifications:
- Voltage: 9VDC
- Current Draw: 100mA
- Input Impedance: 2.2M
- Output Impedance: 150ohms
- Dimensions: Length - 1.5 inches, Width - 3.75 inches, Height - 1.75 inches,
Weight - 0.5 lbs
The pedal also features a Rate knob to control the speed of the waveform's motion, a Tune knob for fine-tuning the synth voices, a Mix knob to adjust the blend between clean and synth sounds, and a Shape knob to change the waveform from a sawtooth to a square wave, or vice versa.
The Space Rip is designed to produce a wild, thick analog sound inspired by high-end vintage synthesizers, and it is suitable for creating unique synth effects in a compact pedal format.
