The Tracer City by Snazzy FX is an analog modulation effects pedal designed to provide a wide range of sounds while being user-friendly. It shares similarities with old or new analog synthesizers, featuring filters, an oscillator (which can also function as an LFO), a pseudo-random LFO with lag, and an envelope follower with up or down response and lag. The pedal allows its multi-mode filter to be controlled by two external CV sources, and audio sources can also be plugged into these inputs, creating frequency modulation of the filter.
Key Controls:
1. Input Gain: Adjusts the input signal level, capable of input distortion
when using line signals in GTR mode.
2. Volume (Output): Controls the output volume.
3. LFO/OSC: Modulator one that affects the multi-mode analog filter.
4. TRI/SQR: Selects between triangle and square waveforms for the oscillator.
5. RAND LAG, RAND SPEED, RAND DEPTH: Controls for the random modulator
section, adding varying amounts of randomness to the tone.
6. FLW SENS, FLW TIME, FLW DEPTH: Controls for the envelope follower,
responding to the peaks and valleys in the input signal.
7. CUTOFF: Adjusts the cutoff frequency of the filter.
8. CV 1 and CV 2: Allow for external audio or CV sources to control the
cutoff of the filter.
The Tracer City requires a proper DC 9V adapter and comes with a one-year parts and labor warranty.
