Plethora X5

The Plethora X5 by TC Electronic is a highly-flexible TonePrint pedalboard with intuitive controls and 5 MASH footswitches. It allows users to select and load their favorite TonePrint FX. The pedalboard can create and customize up to 127 custom boards with any combination of TonePrint pedals. Each board consists of 5 freely configurable TonePrint pedals, with 75 TonePrint FX memory presets per pedal. The FX signal chain is customizable, and it features integrated MASH technology that turns all 5 footswitches into expression controllers with customizable mapping, even for older TonePrint pedals.

The Plethora X5 also includes a customizable FX loop insert for external pedals, built-in chromatic tuner, switchable speaker cab simulation, tap tempo for time-based FX, and Bluetooth connection to the free TonePrint app. It has LED indicators for Effect On and Effect Bypass, 2x 6.3 mm jack inputs, 2x 6.3 mm jack outputs, MIDI In & Out/Thru, and a mains adapter connection. The power supply is via a 9 V DC mains adapter, and battery operation is not supported.

The pedal comes loaded with various TonePrint pedals, including Hall Of Fame 2 Reverb, Flashback 2 Delay, Sub n Up Octaver, Brainwaves Pitch Shifter, Corona Chorus, Hypergravity Compressor, Mimiq Doubler, Vortex Flanger, Pipeline Tap Tremolo, and Quintessence Harmony.

The Plethora X5 is designed as a floorboard with no amp modeling, drum computer, or expression pedal. It includes a USB port, line out, and a PSU. The pedal's dimensions are approximately 299mm width, 116mm length, 53mm height, and it weighs 1.4kg. It has been available since April 2020.
