Red Dirt Mini

The Keeley Red Dirt Mini Overdrive Pedal is a compact yet powerful guitar effects pedal designed to deliver versatile overdrive tones. It features a reduced-size three-knob layout, offering precise control over tone, level, and drive. The pedal's internal dip switch allows access to four different overdrive modes: Amp Mode, Crunch Mode, Overdrive Mode, and full-on Distortion Mode.

The Red Dirt Mini is constructed with a super compact all-metal chassis, ensuring durability and saving pedalboard space. Its dimensions are 1.5” x 3.6”, making it a convenient addition to any setup. The pedal operates on a 9V negative-tip power supply, drawing a current of 7.5mA.

This limited run pedal was inspired by the modified Red Dirt Overdrive Keeley Electronics made for John Petrucci. It features a very low noise op-amp for reduced background noise levels and a special mixture of clipping LEDs. The pedal aims to provide a classic drive sound with new levels of sonic versatility to accommodate a wide range of musical styles.

The Red Dirt Mini is designed with a Keeley FET input stage, delivering breakup in a genuinely "tube-like" style for expressive leads and dynamic rhythm playing. It offers a higher output volume, bold/rounder clipping, and a fatter frequency response compared to the original Red Dirt Overdrive.
