RevivalDRIVE Compact

The RevivalDRIVE Compact by Origin Effects is a pedalboard-friendly overdrive pedal designed to deliver authentic vintage amp tones and overdrive. It features a complete "hot-rodded" valve amp-style signal path with a dedicated class-A preamp, long-tailed pair phase inverter, and push-pull output stage. The pedal offers variable negative feedback to fine-tune breakup characteristics or boost presence, and a reactive design that simulates interaction between amp and speaker for a realistic feel and authentic sound. Additionally, it accurately recreates power supply sag for subtle, natural compression and provides full control of tone, dynamic response, and distortion characteristics.

The pedal includes an interactive Blend control that backs off the gain as you add dry signal for the most natural sound, as well as a powerful tone-shaping Post-Drive EQ. It also features high-impedance buffered bypass with silent switching and is housed in a tour-grade, all-metal construction. The dimensions of the pedal are 60 (w) x 113 (d) x 55mm (h), and it requires a 9V DC adaptor (not supplied) with a current draw of 80mA.

The RevivalDRIVE Compact Hot Rod version increases the gain for huge overdrive and saturation, with a more cutting, in-your-face character. The voicing has been tweaked for aggressive, sustaining rock guitar tones, while still allowing for a clean sound when dialed back. The pedal replicates every stage of a valve amp’s signal path using all-analogue components, delivering realistic tone, feel, and dynamic response, ranging from clean to fully cranked. The built-in Post-Drive EQ allows users to tailor the output of the pedal to work with various amps, flat-response power amps, cabinet simulators, and recording interfaces.
