Doppoler

The Gurus Doppoler is a rotary speaker simulation system designed to reproduce the rotary effect in a physical way without the mechanical parts. It is inspired by old yet innovative rotary speaker systems, such as the Maestro Revolver, Leslie, and the "Doppolas rotary speaker" made by Mr. Gilmour & Mr. Taylor. The Doppoler is not a rotary simulator but the brain of a system that, in its best setting, is made of two cabinets positioned at 180° from each other to reproduce the signal as if the speaker is rotating.

The Doppoler applies EQ filters, phase changing, volume changing, and calculates how reflections react and affect the signal. The result is an outstanding tridimensional sound that adds ambient and 3D to your sound, even at low speed and intensity without noticeable rotary effect. It features a very transparent tube preamp that respects the instrument's sound and allows for the addition of an overdrive pedal in front of it.

The Doppoler is designed to be used in a pedalboard in front of an amp and can easily add an additional speaker behind the main speaker, such as an active cabinet, a combo amp, or using one of Gurus' Miniamps to drive a guitar speaker.
