Description

The Iconoclast by Neunaber Audio is a speaker emulator pedal designed to shape guitar tones as a speaker cabinet would, while outputting directly to headphones, powered speakers, a mixer, or recording interface. The pedal is based on proprietary circuitry and filters, rather than impulse responses (IRs), providing an ultra-low latency of 315 microseconds.

Key Specifications:
- Dimensions: 4.6” W, 2.8” L, 1.9” H / 116 mm W, 68 mm L, 47 mm H
- Weight: 8.0 oz / 227 g
- Inputs: Unbalanced mono (R only), stereo (L/R), stereo TRS (L only)
- Nominal input level: -10 dBV, instrument/consumer line level
- Input impedance: 1 MΩ (mono), 2 MΩ (stereo)
- Outputs: Impedance-balanced mono (L or R), stereo (L/R)
- Output impedance: 100 Ω
- Sample rate: 96 kHz
- Minimum latency: 0.315 ms
- Power input: 9-12 V DC, center-negative, 5.5 mm OD x 2.1 mm ID
- Current consumption: 60 mA typical (w/o phones), 100 mA @ max phones level (w/ 32 Ω phones), 120 mA @ max phones level (w/ 16 Ω phones)

Functionality and Features:
- 3-Band EQ: Adjusts the cabinet size, amplifier drive type, and speaker type
- Noise Gate: Studio-quality noise gate with adjustable threshold, attack, hold, and release times
- Headphone Output: Driven by a dedicated amplifier, capable of driving most headphones
- USB Port: For connecting to a MacOS or Windows PC running Iconoclast Software
- Iconoclast Software: Provides visualization of frequency response, noise gate transfer function, deep editing capabilities, two bands of parametric/shelving EQ, adjustable stereo enhancement, and file save/recall of settings

The pedal is not a load box and must not be connected to the speaker output of an amplifier. It should be placed at the end of the signal chain, after pedals and/or preamp. The LED indicator displays the current status, with white indicating normal operation, blue indicating the noise gate is closed, and red indicating input clipping.
