The Tejas Boost by XAct Tone Solutions is a versatile pedal that offers boost with EQ and an overdrive/distortion in one box. It is designed to provide a warm increase in volume and chime when the gain is set low, which works well for bringing an amp to new levels of breakup or in conjunction with other pedals like compressors. When the gain is turned up, the Tejas Boost offers an uncompressed, musical breakup that can make a crunchy amp really sing. When the gain control is maxed out, the pedal delivers a distinctly unruly distortion sound that ventures into fuzz characteristics.
