Description

The Basstortion by ZVEX is a bass distortion pedal designed to capture the classic Ampeg SVT tone in a compact enclosure. It offers heavy, primal distortion specifically tailored for use with bass guitars. The pedal features dedicated controls for Volume, Tone, and Drive, as well as a selectable Bright/Dark switch to further shape the tone. The Vexter series pedals feature screen-printed graphics and can be powered by a standard 9VDC Center Negative Supply or a 9V battery. The pedal dimensions are 4.7 x 2.38 x 1.82 inches (LxWxH). The connection between the player's hands and the natural tube distortion is described as primal, immediate, powerful, and musical. The Basstortion pedal is designed to provide the growling, powerful sound associated with the Ampeg SVT, offering bassists the ability to achieve SVT tone and brutal power without the need to carry a heavy amp.
