The Le Bass by Two Notes is a versatile tube preamp pedal designed for bass players. It features a True High Voltage Design running internally at 200 volts to preserve the interaction between the player and the instrument. The preamp offers two independent channels, each with its own voicing and EQ section. Channel A provides a lower gain tube stage with a pre-gain EQ, while Channel B offers more gain and a powerful post-EQ with mid sweep. The exclusive Fusion modes, "Hot Fusion" and "Cold Fusion," open up new tonal possibilities by cascading or blending the two channels.
The pedal includes two channel footswitches for A and B, allowing seamless switching between channels and activating the Fusion mode. It also supports MIDI connectivity for remote control and seamless integration into pedalboard switching systems. The Le Bass features an FX loop, speaker simulation, balanced DI output, ground lift, and a headphones output for silent practice. The analog speaker simulation is specifically voiced for the Le Bass model and is based on the Torpedo simulator.
The pedal can be used in various configurations, such as a boost or distortion pedal for an amplifier, as a preamplifier connected to a power amplifier and cabinets, or in a direct setup for recording. It is designed to work together with other Two Notes preamps, allowing for multi-channel configurations and complex pedalboard setups.
The Le Bass operates on a 12V DC input, with a power consumption of approximately 6W and a current draw of 500mA. It has dimensions of 4.88" x 7.44" x 1.97".
